Ecuadorian – Canadian sculptor, David Constantino Salazar examines his symbolic and ancestral roots as a South American with his daily life as a Canadian. A recipient of multiple residencies internationally and domestically, Salazar continues to push boundaries and explore artistically through his diverse and robust studio practice. "Exhibition work allows me the opportunity to articulate my thoughts and vision through the use of materials and provide me with the opportunity to connect in a dialogue with the audience. Each exhibition is an intimate moment between the viewers and myself and a moment I am eternally grateful for."
